GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team were defeated Wednesday night by the visiting Bethany Bison 4-2 under the lights at Alumni Stadium.
 
The Tomcats had a strong first half going into halftime up 2-0 backed by goals three minutes apart from each other. Junior Morgan Berg (Cleveland, Ohio/Rocky River) put in her 11^th goal of the season in the 29^th minute off of an assist by Kaytee Candela (Geneva, Ohio/Lakeside). Alliana Hardgrove (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) scored in the 32^nd minute on an assist by Monica Ochoa (North Royalton, Ohio/Padua Franciscan).
 
The Bison scored four unanswered goals in the second half. Julie Slezak knocked in two goals past the Tomcat goalkeeper while Madison Cochran and Michelle Paugh each added a goal. Michaela Hinerman chipped in an assist on Julie Slezak's first goal in the 61^st minute. Taylor Sasak made 13 stops for the Bison.
 
For the Tomcats, Kim Gentry (Madison, Ohio/Madison) made six saves in the loss.
 
The Tomcats will travel to Crestview Hills, Ky. to take on the Thomas More Saints in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The game is scheduled for a noon start on Sunday, Oct. 26.
