WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Thiel College women's tennis team fell in its last match of the 2014 season Sunday to the Daemen College Wildcats, 6-3.
Nicole Carlton (Beloit, Ohio/West Branch) notched a pair of wins on the day. She won her singles match over Tianna Washington, 6-0, 6-1. She also teamed up with her sister, Emily, to earn an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles over Gretchen Ringler and Washington.
Shay Kashey (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) and Lauren Mittner (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) also won their No. 1 doubles match Sunday, defeating Hayle Scanlan and Celina Wozniak, 8-6.
The Tomcats will take part in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championships on Oct. 24-25 at the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pa.
