Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. – Eight different players scored a goal, including two each from
Emily Skebo (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard), Elizabeth Wilkinson (Apollo, Pa./Kiski Area) and Kelley Bellia (Beaver, Pa./Blackhawk), in the Tomcats' 11-0 thumping of visiting Penn State-Greater Allegheny Wednesday.
Thiel picks up their fifth-straight win, improving to 6-3. PSU-GA falls to 0-4.
Suelen Gutierrez (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) scored the first goal of the game on an assist from
Taryn Benner (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington ) at the 2:24 mark. Benner again set up one of her teammates for a scoring chance, as eight minutes later (10:55) she found
Morgan Berg (Cleveland, Ohio/Rocky River) open for Berg's seventh goal of the season. Wilkinson scored the next two goals, staking Thiel to a 4-0 just 15 minutes into the match. Bellia and
Monica Ochoa (North Royalton, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) each added a goal, while Skebo scored both of her goals to close out the first half, with Thiel claiming an 8-0 lead.
Chey Ross (Sigel, Pa./Brookville) and Bellia each added a goal in the second half, and
Alison House (Youngstown, Ohio/Liberty) capped the scoring with a goal, assisted by
Mary Oakey (Baltimore, Md. /Mercy ), at the 82:19 mark.
Benner led Thiel with two assists, while Berg, Ross,
Rachel Horrell (Canal Fulton, Ohio/Northwest) and Oakey each tallied one. Goalkeeper
Jessica Scott (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) faced one shot on goal and made one save. Thiel out-shot PSU-GA 45-1.
