Box Score STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost to Franciscan University Wednesday, 4-1.
 
Hannah Cooke led Franciscan with three goals in the contest. She gave the Lady Baron's a 1-0 lead 8:03 into the contest, but the Tomcats managed to tie the game up seven minutes into the second half on a Chey Ross (Sigel, Pa./Brookville) goal.
 
Cooke went on to score two goals less than a minute apart later in the second half before Lauren Stearman closed out scoring for the Lady Barons with less than four minutes remaining in regulation.
 
Sophomore goaltender Mary Oakey (Baltimore, Md. /Mercy ) made 10 saves for the Tomcats. Franciscan goalie Michelle Volk made four stops.
 
The Tomcats (1-3) will return to action Saturday when they travel to Cresson, Pa., to take on Mount Aloysius. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
