WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel Tomcats suffered a 24-9 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Wednesday.
 
Three Tomcats earned wins Wednesday, including: Adam Matthews (141), Jordan Powell (165) and Jerrold Roosa (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) (174).
 
Matthews earned Thiel's first win in the match with a 5-0 decision over Jake Vitolo to cut Waynesburg's team lead in half, 6-3.
 
Powell won by decision in extra time, 6-3, over Sam Guidi to make the score 12-6 in favor of the Yellow Jackets.
 
Rossa recorded the Tomcats' final win of the night when he won by decision, 4-2, over Anthony Bonaventura. Listed as an honorable mention pick for the Top 10 on the most recent D3Wrestle.com rankings, Roosa improved to 24-8 on the season with the win.
 
Thiel (9-7, 1-1 PAC) will host the PAC Championships next Friday (Feb. 15).
