Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. – Forty minutes after nine lead changes and eight ties, it was the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets who earned an 84-75 victory Wednesday over the Thiel Tomcats at Beeghly Gymnasium.
The Tomcats started the game strong and led 6-0 after freshman forward Hannah Stoneman scored on a layup with 17:32 left in the first half. However, the Tomcats went on to trail at the half, 39-37.
The Tomcats led by seven points after Kayla Welty knocked down a three-pointer near the midpoint of the second half, but the Yellow Jackets pulled away with less than a minute left in regulation.

Kelly Muffley (Salsburg, Pa./Western Reserve Academy) scored a game-high 25 points while forward
Kelly Barzak (Warren, OH/Howland) recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Also, Stoneman chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.
Brittany Spencer led the Yellow Jackets with 18 points while Gina Rivel scored 14 points. Also, Heather Davis scored 10 points.
The Tomcats (6-16, 5-10 PAC) will return to action Saturday when they travel to Crestview Hills, Ky., to take on the Thomas More College Saints. Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m.
