GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel Tomcats went 3-0 Saturday at the sixth annual Mel Berry Duals, which were held at Beeghly Gymnasium at Thiel College.
 
The Tomcats opened the day with a 60-0 victory over Penn State-New Kensington before defeating Mercyhurst North East, 40-13. Thiel concluded the Mel Berry Duals with a 24-18 victory over Baldwin Wallace.
 
Seven Tomcats went 2-0 on the day, including: Nick Sutton, Marco Crivelli, Matt Morian, Will Ringer (Fredonia, Pa./Reynolds), Adam Matthews, Brandon Collins and Jerrold Roosa (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central). Both of Crivelli's (174) and Ringer's (285) wins were earned by pin.
 
Thiel trailed Baldwin Wallace 12-9 after four bouts, but went on to win four of the last six matches, including a pin by Crivelli over Ben LeBrun in 6:54, to earn the 24-18 win.
 
The Tomcats (9-6, 1-0 PAC) will return to action Saturday when they take part in the Baldwin Wallace invite. Wrestling is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
