The Spartans got on the board first in the 23rd minute of play as Sam Giebner found the back of the net off of a corner kick to put D'Youville up 1-0. Her teammate, Danielle Gehen followed Giebner's lead in the 37th minute, scoring a goal of her own to give D'Youville a 2-0 advantage at halftime.
