BEAVER FALLS, Pa.— Payback was on the mind of the women's basketball team (6-16, 6-9 PAC) after an early season home loss to Geneva College (3-19, 2-13 PAC) as they spilt the season series by soundly defeating the Golden Tornadoes 72-42.
The Tomcats never looked back, after jumping out of the gate on an 8-0 run. Thiel remained in control the entire first half never allowing the lead to go to under four. One final push by the Golden Tornadoes cut the lead to four, but a 9-4 burst by Thiel made the margin 32-23 at half.
The Tomcats shot a respectable 44.4% from the field by notching 30-of-72 shots. Leading the way for Thiel were a trio of double-digit scorers;

Kelly Barzak (Warren, OH/Howland) added 16 points and a season-high seven blocks, while
