LATROBE – Pa. – The women's basketball team suffered a 80-49 setback against first-place Presidents' Athletic Conference opponent Saint Vincent (17-3, 12-1 PAC) on Wednesday evening in the Robert S. Carey Center.
 
Kelly Barzak (Warren, OH/Howland) was the lone Tomcat in double digits, recording 17 points and grabbed five rebounds. Kelly Muffley (Salsburg, Pa./Western Reserve Academy) and Ashley Davis (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) each had seven points respectively.
 
Devon McGrath had a game-high 20 points, four assists and nine rebounds to lead the Bearcats. Brittany Sedlock finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds while Elle Collins chipped in with 11.
 
The first three minutes of the game proved to be decisive as the Bearcats opened up on a 10-0 run. Unable to overcome the early deficit, the Tomcats (5-15, 5-8 PAC) played catch-up the entire night.
 
Thiel will return to action on Saturday, February 4 when they travel to Thomas More. Tip-off is expected at 1 pm.
