NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Junior guard Riian McCray (Dayton, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison) recorded her sixth double-double of the season Wednesday, but it wasn't enough for the Thiel College women's basketball team, which suffered a 69-60 loss to the Westminster Titans.
 
McCray scored 15 points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds in the loss. She also tallied six assists. Freshman guard Kayla Welty (Portville, N.Y./Portville ) led the Tomcats with 17 points, 15 of which came on a 5-for-8 performance from beyond the three-point line. Welty also grabbed three bounds, handed out two assists and came up with two steals.
 
Jenn Cantella and Jenna Grandy led the Titans with 17 points apiece while Katie Hughes chipped in with 15 points.
 
The Tomcats (2-6, 1-2 PAC) will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Bethany, W.Va., to take on the Bethany College Bison. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
