BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team closed out the season with a 4-1 loss to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes Saturday.
 
Nichole Carlton (Beloit, Ohio/West Branch ) put the Tomcats up 18:09 into the first half on her team-leading third goal of the season. Alana Smith (Struthers, Ohio/Struthers) earned the assist.
 
Unfortunately, Geneva went on to score four unanswered goals to defeat the Tomcats, 4-1.
 
Heidi Mann scored a pair of unassisted markers roughly 14 minutes apart to give the Golden Tornadoes a 2-1 lead. Maura Allen added a third goal for Geneva before halftime on a pass from Elise Mann.
 
Elise Mann added her own goal in the second half on a pass from Maura Allen.
 
Alison House (Youngstown, Ohio/Liberty) made seven saves for Thiel.
 
The Tomcats went 5-11-1 overall and 2-7 in PAC play in 2012.
