NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — The Tomcat women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 in Presidents' Athletic Conference play by the Titans of Westminster College on Wednesday evening.
The Titans got on the board first in the 10
th minute (10:46) of play as Amanda Turl found the back of the net for the only goal of the half as Westminster went into the intermission up 1-0.
Westminster would then waste little time pulling away in half number two as Turi connected for her second goal of the match in the 45
th minute (45:25) and Krista Edwards scored unassisted to round out the scoring at 3-0. Over the course of the contest, the Tomcats were outs shot 14-6 including 9-3 in the second half of play.
Ali House got the start in goal for the Tomcats, making five saves in the loss.
The women will play their 2012 season finale on Saturday, when they head to Geneva College to take on the Golden Tornades at 5 p.m.
