The Thiel College women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Defiance College in the final day of the Defiance Classic on Sunday.

The first half was played to a stale mate as the Yellow Jackets managed 12 shots but Tomcat freshman goalie Angela Balint (Sharpsville, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) made six saves to keep Defiance at Bay and take the game into the half tied at zero.

Defiance then got on the board in the second half as Katie Heitkamp connected with the back of the net to put the Yellow Jackets up 1-0, and they would go on to win by the same score.

The Tomcats will next be in action on Tuesday September 6 when they travel to Mount Aloysius. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
