HIRAM, OHIO — Tomcat women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 in non-conference play by the Terriers of Hiram College on Tuesday evening in Hiram, Ohio.
 
The Terriers got on the board first in the 26^th minute of play as Chelsea Ulmer found the back of the net for the only goal of the half as Hiram went into the intermission up 1-0.
 
Hiram would then pull away in half number two as Natasha Blonsky connected in the 65^th minute and Tiffany Marchewka scored off an assist from Ernestian Zappa to round out the scoring at 3-0. Over the course of the contest, the Tomcats were outs shot 15-4 including 10-2 in the second half of play.
 
The women next play on Thursday against Hilbert College as part of a double header with the men's team. The game at Alumni Stadium will immediately follow the men's contest, which is scheduled for a 3 p.m. kick-off.
