HIRAM, OHIO — Tomcat women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 in non-conference play by the Terriers of Hiram College on Tuesday evening in Hiram, Ohio.
The Terriers got on the board first in the 26
th minute of play as Chelsea Ulmer found the back of the net for the only goal of the half as Hiram went into the intermission up 1-0.
Hiram would then pull away in half number two as Natasha Blonsky connected in the 65
th minute and Tiffany Marchewka scored off an assist from Ernestian Zappa to round out the scoring at 3-0. Over the course of the contest, the Tomcats were outs shot 15-4 including 10-2 in the second half of play.
The women next play on Thursday against Hilbert College as part of a double header with the men's team. The game at Alumni Stadium will immediately follow the men's contest, which is scheduled for a 3 p.m. kick-off.
