Anthony Harvey (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) added 16 points while Ladell Trotty (Cleveland, Ohio/Lutheran East) and Devon Adams (Philadelphia, Pa./George Junior Republic) chipped in with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Alan Sheppard scored a game-high 25 points to lead four Terriers in double figures. Jamaal Watkins added 21 points to go along with eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals while Aaron Stefanov and Matt Roman scored 17 and 11, respectively.

An Adams three-pointer at the 14:19 mark gave the Tomcats a 12-9 advantage. After Hiram (8-3) was able to pull ahead by as many as seven midway through the first, Harvey's free throw with 6:12 remaining in the half saw the Tomcats move back to within four, 30-26. The Terriers concluded the opening half riding an 18-7 run and went into the break leading 48-33.

Thiel surrendered 13 first-half turnovers to just three by Hiram.

The Tomcats were unable to cut the Terrier lead down to single digits in the second and Sheppard's three with just over eight to play gave Hiram a 21-point edge (77-56), their largest of the evening.

Thiel is set to return to action on Wednesday, January 4 when they host Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Thomas More College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
