WAYNESBURG, Pa. –
Blair Rozenblad (Youngstown, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic) became the ninth Tomcat in program history to score 1,000 points in Thiel's 83-59 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over Waynesburg University Wednesday evening.
Rozenblad's 16 point, 12 rebound effort helped Thiel (3-2, 1-0) secure its first conference win of the season and secured his place in the Tomcats' all-time record book, becoming just the ninth men's basketball player to eclipse the 1,000 point mark. Rozenblad finished 7-of-16 from the field and added two assists and a pair of steals in the victory.
Tuesday's win was Thiel's sixth-straight over Waynesburg (2-4, 0-1), dating back to a Yellow Jacket 105-104 win in Greenville on Dec. 3, 2008.

Anthony Harvey (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) registered a game-high 17 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists while
Chace McKinney (Boardman, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic) and
A.J. Forbes (Lighthouse Point, Fla./Pompano Beach) each chipped in with 14.
Thiel shot 48.5 percent from the floor (33-68) and finished with a 47-41 advantage on the glass.
Larry Alexander scored 16 points to lead the Yellow Jackets. Jason Probst totaled seven points and eight rebounds while Jeff Young tallied eight points and seven boards. Waynesburg was limited to just 28.8 percent (19-66) shooting and surrendered 19 turnovers in the loss.
Thiel led by as many as 10 (13-3) in the first half of action, but a 7-0 Waynesburg run covering the final 2:35 of the first helped the Yellow Jackets force a 42-42 tie going into the half.
The Tomcats put together a 24-6 run to open the second and ran its lead to 18, 66-48, capped by a Ladell Troty layup at the 6:57 mark of the second. Thiel finished on a 13-4 run to close out the game in recording the 24-point victory.
Thiel opens its PAC home schedule on Saturday, Dec. 3 when they play host to Washington & Jefferson College. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
