LATROBE, Pa. - The Tomcat women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by the Bearcats of Saint Vincent College on Saturday afternoon in Latrobe, Pa.

The first half of play saw good opportunites by both sides, as the Tomcats and Bearcats both registered multiple shots on goal. Freshman keeper Angela Balint (Sharpsville, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) kept Saint Vincent at bay in the first half with five saves as the teams went into the locker room tied at 0-0.

In the 66th minute of play, Saint Vincent jumped out in front on an Elly Colvin goal to give them the 1-0 lead which they would hold for the rest of the game, handing Thiel their thrid one-goal loss of the season.

Thiel will be back in action on Wednesday, October 26 when they host the Titans of Westminter College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
