The women's soccer team (5-9-2; 1-4-0 PAC) defeated the Cougars of Chatham University in overtime by the score of 2-1 at Alumni Stadium Saturday afternoon.

The Tomcats would score their first goal in the fourth minute of the game when Kelsey Adair (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata Senior ) connected with the back of the net off an Alliana Hardgrove (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) assist.

Thiel would keep the lead until the 90^th minute of the game when the Cougar's Sarah Ellis scored to tie the game at 1-1.

In the 94^th minute, Taryn Benner (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington ) would score her third goal of the season and would push the Tomcats to their first conference win on the season.

Thiel will next travel to Washington & Jefferson to take on the Presidents on October 18. Game time is set for 7 pm.
