CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — In their opening game of their Presidents' Athletic Conference scheduled, the women's soccer team fell to the Saints of Thomas More College by a score of 5-0 on Saturday in Crestview Hills, Ky.
The Saints scored just once in the first half as Sam Work found the net off of a corner kick in the 25
th minute to give Thomas More the 1-0 lead. The game would go into the half with the same score.
Work scored her second goal of the game just eight minutes into the second half as she scored off a Chrissy Sonderman assist to make the score 2-0. The Saints would go on to put Thiel away as they scored three more times in the game as three different players notched a goal to finish the game at 5-0.
Keeper
Angela Balint (Sharpsville, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) had twelve saves on the day as the Tomcats were outshot 40-1 with the saints putting 17 shots on goal.
Thiel will continue conference play on Wednesday as they travel to Waynesburg to take on the Yellow Jackets. The game is scheduled for a 6:30 start time.
