WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Thiel fell to Waynesburg 9-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference tennis match Tuesday.
Amy Nacey (Delmont, Pa., Greensburg-Salem) put up the best showing for the Tomcats, losing to the Yellow Jackets' Kelsey Diesel 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.
Katey Williams (Shelocta, Pa., Elderton), who posted a singles and doubles win in Thiel's 5-4 loss to Pitt-Greensburg last week, won a ocuple of games before losing to Rebeka Reyes at No. 1 singles 6-1 6-1.
Heather Bean (Franklin, Pa., Franklin), playing at No. 3 singles, and
Amanda Toy ( Shelocta, Pa., Elderton), playing at No. 5 singles, also won one game to avoid being shut out in their losses.
The loss dropped the Tomcats to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the conference. They will return to action on Friday with an away match at Geneva.
