Greenville, Pa. (February 3, 2010) -- The Thiel College women's basketball team suffered their 13th loss of the season by the score of 52-55 to the Bethany College Bison Wednesday.

The 'Cats got the first licks in the contest, jumping out to a 6-0 lead in the first two minutes of the play but, the visiting Bison refused to be left in the dust, scoring 14 unanswered points.  The women of Thiel would scratch and claw their way back into the contest, heading into the half with the 32-29 lead.

Most of the second half proved be a stalemate, with no club being able to get the upper hand before the other could battle back into contention.  It took a final 7-1 run in the waning seconds by Bethany to put the 'Cats down for the count.

Sophomore forward, Ashley Davis (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel), led the way for the 'Cats tallying 14 points and grabbing five boards, while Kasey Landis (Williamsfield, Ohio/Pymatuning Valley) knocked down 2-of-3 shots from beyond the arc, for a total of eight points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.

On Saturday, Feb. 6 the Tomcats head to Waynesburg, Pa. to face the Yellow Jackets in a 1:30 p.m. match up.
