PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Behind a 21-point, 10-rebound effort by sophomore Blair Rozenblad (Youngstown, Ohio, Kennedy Catholic), the Thiel College men's basketball squad posted a 64-51 victory over La Roche College Friday evening at La Roche's Kerr Fitness Center.

Senior Lance Randall (Canfield, Ohio, Ursuline) and sophomore Aundra Jones (Youngstown, Ohio, Kennedy Catholic) each added 11 in the win. Senior Alan George (Brunswick, Ohio, Saint Edward) and sophomore Ladell Trotty (Cleveland, Ohio, Lutheran East) each registered seven rebounds.

The Tomcats (1-1) went into the half with a 27-21 lead and outscored the Redhawks (1-1) 37-30 in the second. Thiel finished the game shooting just 38.2 percent (21-55) from the floor but knocked down 20-of-23 from the free throw line, including 15-of-18 in the second half of action.

Joel McIntosh led La Roche with 11 points and nine rebounds while Mike Dixon finished with 10 points and five rebounds.

Thiel returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 20 as they take on Penn State Beaver at 4 p.m. at La Roche's Kerr Fitness Center.
