BEAVER FALLS – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated by Geneva College by a score of 1-0 in Beaver Falls on Wednesday. 

Elise Mann scored the lone goal for the Golden Tornadoes on a pass by Rebecca Shaw at the 1:37 mark of the first half. There would be no scoring on either side for the rest of the game as Geneva handed the Tomcats their seventh one-goal defeat of the season. 

The big story of the game was the shot disparity as the Golden Tornadoes outshot the Tomcats 29-4. Senior keeper Jill Harry (Aliquippa, Pa., Hopewell) kept the Blue and Gold in the game by making 15 saves after allowing the games only goal. 

Thiel returns to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play against Saint Vincent College Saturday at 5 p.m. The game will be played at Mercer High School.
