Bethany, WV (January 4, 2010) -- After keeping pace with the Bethany Bison through the first 20 minutes of play, the Thiel College women's basketball squad simply ran out of steam in their 47-62 loss Monday. 

Led by a combined 17 first half points by the front court duo of, Ashley Davis (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) and Kelly Barzak (Warren, OH/Howland), the 'Cats began the second half down by a single point. But, an offensively frigid start to the second half put Thiel in a hole that they couldn't dig themselves out of. 

The Bison would capitalize on the Tomcat's slow start by sprinting out front with a 14 to one run, and never looked back. 

Barzak paced the 'Cats scoring a team-high 14 points, along with six rebounds and four steals, while Davis contributed 11 points and three rebounds. 

The women of Thiel return to action Thursday, Jan. 7 for a 6 p.m. home match up against the Waynesburg University Yellowjackets.
