Women Drop Last Home Game

Greenville, Pa. (February 21, 2009) -- The Thiel College women's basketball team suffered their eighth conference loss of the season Saturday, 64-75, to the visiting Grove City Wolverines.

After finishing the first half with the lead, Thiel couldn't manage to hold with the wolverines converting on 18 second chance opportunities.  The Tomcats also spent most of the second half in foul trouble, recording a total of 18 to Grove Cities six after halftime.

Thiel was led by senior forward, Amber Bodrick (Youngstown, OH/Cardinal Mooney), who dropped in 25 points and blocked four shots, while freshman, Ashley Davis (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel), cashed in on 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Thiel forward, Towanda-Michelle Warren (Solon, OH/Solon) contributed 12 points in the losing effort.

The Wolverines were paced by forward, Christine Slater, who scored 25 points and grabbed 11 boards.
