GREENVILLE, Pa. (December 12, 2009) -- The women of Thiel College basketball couldn't make up for a first half shooting performance of 21 percent as they lost, 42-67, to the Presidents of Washington and Jefferson College.
The Thiel offense sputtered in the face of a Presidents' defense that forced 20 turnovers, while holding the Tomcats to a season-low first half shooting percentage.
While the Tomcat's fought back in the second half, it proved too little, too late as they couldn't quite keep pace with the visiting Presidents.
The Tomcats were led by sophomore forward, Ashley Davis', ten point, five rebound performance, while Kelly Barzack contributed nine points and six rebounds.
The women return to action Saturday, December 19 at 7 p.m. when the Hiram College Terriers come to Greenville, Pa.
