EDINBORO, Pa. (Nov. 24, 2009) – The Thiel College men's basketball team pushed its second Division II opponent of the season to the limit Tuesday, but once again fell short, this time to Edinboro University by a, 83-74, final.

In a game that featured two lead changes and one tie, Thiel trailed the Fighting Scots by a slim, 37-34, margin at the half, but the Tomcats couldn't close the gap in the second half to pull off the upset.

In what has become a common occurrence so far this season, freshman Blair Rozenblad (Youngstown, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic)led Thiel in scoring, this time tossing in a game-high 26 points, 18 of which came from the floor.

Senior Cory Chaffee (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy)and freshman Aundra Jones (Youngstown, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic) also reached double-digit scoring totals with 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Jones also led the Tomcats with seven rebounds.

Edinboro's Byron Knight led the Fighting Scots with 18 points.

Thiel returns to action on Dec. 2 when it visits Saint Vincent for an 8 p.m. game.
