WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 23, 2009) – Waynesburg University scored a, 1-0, Presidents' Athletic Conference victory over Thiel at a rainy John F. Wiley Stadium in women's soccer action Friday night.

The win improved the Yellow Jackets' season record to 6-10-0 overall and 2-4 in PAC play. The Tomcats dropped to 2-13-2 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

The Waynesburg offense peppered junior keeper Jill Harry (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) with 19 shots on goal. However, Harry was able to keep her team in the contest all night long by saving all but the game-winner, which came in the 49th minute.

Junior Rachel Finch (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) had Thiel's only shot of the night.

The Jackets return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 28, when they pay a visit to Washington & Jefferson.
