Pittsburgh, Pa. (December 8, 2008) -- After dropping their first two conference games, the Thiel College women's basketball team picked up their first PAC victory with a 61-41 win over Chatham College.

Senior forward Amber Bodrick (Youngstown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) broke out of her recent slump by scoring a season-high, 28 points, and grabbing 13 boards, while senior guard Catie Sieber (Glenshaw, Pa./North Hills) dropped in 15 and amassed seven rebounds. 

The Cougars could only manage shooting 30% from the field against a ferocious Tomcat defense that forced 23 turnovers. Thiel also outrebounded Chatham 54-30 and scored a total of 34 points off Cougar turnovers.

The women return to action Dec. 13 when they make the trip up to Hiram College to face the Terriers.
