Berea, Ohio (November 8, 2008) -- The Thiel College wrestling team finished their season openning quad meet 1-2 on Saturday at Baldwin Wallace College.
The Tomcats began the meet with a 18-24 loss to 30th ranked Lycoming College, then dropped the next match 27-19 to Mount St. Joseph and then ended the day with a 32-12 win in over Baldwin Wallace College.
Sophmore 125-pounder,
Rob Miller (Transfer, Pa./Reynolds), picked up where he left off last season ending his day 3-0 with a major decision and two pins, while senior,
Andrew Riddle (Utica/Franklin) and freshman
Corey Brown (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) both made easy work of the competition by also finishing 3-0. Junior
Greg Hogan (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands) and Freshman
Alec Miller (Transfer, Pa./Grove City) tallied up two victories each, and Damian Rose and
Nathan Meyer (Jefferson, Ohio/Jefferson) each picked up wins.
Thiel will return to action November 16 when they visit Ursinus College to face the Golden Bears.
