Greensburg, Pa. (October 4, 2008) -- The men's and women's cross country team put on a good showing as they finished second and fifth respectively at Pitt-Greensburg's Sixth Annual Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
The men were lead by freshman, Richard Peterson (Cochranton, Pa./Meadville) (Meadville, Pa./Meadville), who finished second overall with time of 28.14 and sophomore Alex Bent (Oakhill, Va./Westfield) (Oakville, Va./Westfield) finished fifth with a time of 28.30.
The women were lead by Tiffany Blosser (Fairchance/Albert Gallatin) who finished sixth with a time of 25.57.
Overall there were 14 individuals who either ran a personal best or season best at Pitt-Greensburg. "We ran really well on a hilly course", said head coach Kevin Pool. "I am really looking forward to the championship races."
