BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Jan. 19) -- The Thiel College women's basketball squad finished shooting just 26.2 percent (17-65) from the field and registered a season low in points in its 80-44 loss at Geneva College Saturday evening. 
Geneva's (13-2) Allyson Clarke posted game highs in both points, with 18, and rebounds, with 11. Rnee Rawding chipped in with 15 points while Megan Hartwig added 10 points and seven boards. The Golden Tornadoes finished shooting 47.8 percent (33-69) from the field and finished with a 57-34 advantage on the glass.
Sophomore forward Jasmin Jones (Pittsburgh/Wilkinsburg) (Pittsburgh/Wilkinsburg) led Thiel (6-8) with 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Junior guard Amber Bodrick (Boardman, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney) (Youngstown, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney) finished with 10 points, six rebounds and three steals while junior guard Catie Sieber (Glenshaw, Pa./North Hills) (Glenshaw/North Hills) added 10 points and four rebounds. The Tomcats converted on 7-of-33 (21.2%) field goals in the first half and trailed 41-20 at the break.
Geneva was able to push its second half lead to as many as 43 (80-37) en route to the 36-point win. 
Thiel hosts Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Grove City College on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Beeghly Gymnasium. Tip off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
