Hearn helped the Tomcats go 4-1 overall and 1-0 in PAC action last week with a 5-0 record. On Tuesday, Hearn defeated Nicholas Montalbano by major decision (10-1) to help the Tomcats secure a 43-10 PAC win over the Washington & Jefferson Presidents.
 
On Saturday, Hearn went 4-0 at the Dr. Si Ostrach Duals, hosted by Case Western Reserve. At 149, he won by technical fall (20-2) over Albion's Max Honiss. He also defeated Adrian's Blaise Kokkales by technical fall (18-0). Hearn won by major decision (9-1) over Penn's Noah Hunt before pinning Defiance's Shamique Bryant in 1:50.
