Thiel College senior goalkeeper Cole O'Connor was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. It was his second straight week earning the award. O'Connor went 1-1 last week in a pair of non-conference games. He made 25 saves and collected eight ground balls. O'Connor owned a goals-against average of 7.50 and a save percentage of .625.
 
O'Connor made 14 saves in a 10-9 loss on the road to Marietta last Wednesday. He went on to make 11 saves in an 11-5 win on the road over Medaille on Saturday. Last Wednesday, O'Connor became Thiel's career leader in saves. To date, O'Connor has made 558 saves, surpassing Ryan Weldon (541), who played from 2012-15.
