Sophomore center fielder Alana Callahan helped Thiel’s softball team open the season with a 2-0 record on Sunday, March 8 during play in the Dot Richardson Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. Callahan went 6-for-8 at the plate with two RBIs and one run scored. Her walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded and two outs lifted Thiel to a 7-6 victory over New York University.
