Vince Vahaly, a 125-pound freshman, went 2-1 Friday at the Seventh Annual Mel Berry Duals. Vahaly pinned Mercyhurst North East’s James Avery in 5:59 Friday, helping the Tomcats earn a 29-19 win. He also won by decision, 4-2, over Lycoming’s Jake Witmer to help the Tomcats earn a 29-11 victory. An environment science major, Vahaly is 15-11 on the season.
