Freshman distance runner Meredith Steinmetz set a new Thiel College record in the 1-mile run Friday at the Dan Kinsey Invite. Steinmetz’s second-place time of 5:38.87 topped the previous indoor best of 5:45.94, which was set by Emily Petrak in 2011.
