Chine helped the Tomcats to a 2-1 record last week, a week in which she became just the sixth member of Thiel’s 1,000 Kills Club. On Oct. 9, the senior outside hitter from North Jackson, Ohio, recorded nine kills, two errors and 19 total attempts for a .368 percentage in Thiel’s 3-0 sweep over Saint Vincent. She also served three aces and notched 20 digs. Chine entered the 1,000 Kills Club on Oct. 11 in Thiel’s 3-1 loss to Bethany. Chine racked up 13 kills in the loss, three errors, 31 attempts and a .323 percentage. She also had one ace and 16 digs. Chine also helped the Tomcats to a 3-0 win over Geneva on Oct. 13 with a season-high 30 digs and seven kills.
