Corey earned the season’s first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Wrestler of the Week honor Monday afternoon after going 4-0 to earn the 133-pound individual title at the Ithaca College Invitational last weekend … his first-place finish helped lead the Tomcats to a third-place team finish … the two-day event featured three top-25 programs, including the fourth-ranked Bombers, who finished just 26 points ahead of Thiel … Corey, who entered the 2011-12 season ranked sixth in the nation in NCAA Division III at 133 pounds, registered a 7-4 decision over Ithaca's Alex Gomez in the 133-pound tournament championship match … Corey is a three-time NCAA Division III all-American at 133 pounds and concluded the 2010-2011 season with a 26-5 overall record … he is first Tomcat wrester to earn all-American status on three occasions … Corey has earned Dean’s List recognition in each of his six semesters and has twice earned a spot on the PAC Academic Honor Roll … he has also been named a Scholar All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) after each of his last two seasons.
