A lifelong Greenville native, Joseph Wilson enters his second season as an assistant track and field coach, primarily working with the Tomcat javelin throwers. A graduate of Greenville High School, Wilson won several invitational titles before advancing to compete at the PIAA Sate Championships as a senior. Joe took home second place at States that year with a throw of 212 feet before being recruited by Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s track and field program.
Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science in Regional Planning from IUP and currently manages the Greenville location of his family owned business, Packard Paint and Decorating, Inc. He resides in Greenville with his wife, Stephanie, and their three dogs.
Though new to the college coaching scene, Wilson is committed to taking the Thiel javelin throwers to the next level.
