GREENVILLE, Pa. (Feb. 13) -- Thiel College Softball players Marsha Foreman (Bonita Springs, Fla./Bonita Springs), Kylie Heid (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley), Mackenzie Herman (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds), and Kayley Risser (Reynoldsville, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) were named Players to Watch by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for the upcoming 2026 season.
Foreman suffered a season ending injury in the beginning of the 2025 season but during her freshman year she faced 59 at bats, hit seven doubles and brought in six RBI's.
Heid, a senior, started in all 36 games for the Tomcats where she led the team with a 67% slugging percentage. She faced 114 at bats, tied for first with five home runs, seven triples, and 11 doubles. Heid had a batting average of .316 and 27 RBI's.
Herman, a graduate student, tied for first for home runs in a season with five, tying in sixth place in the entire conference. She had a batting average of .304, on base percentage of .350, eight doubles, four triples and 20 RBIs. On the mound, Mackenzie pitched in 11 games where she had three wins and 15 strikeouts.
Risser led the team with a .375 batting average and an on base percentage of .419. She had 45 hits on the year which included nine doubles, six triples and 16 RBIs. Being at the top of the line-up, Risser also led the team with 29 runs scored.
The Tomcats were also picked to finish 10th in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. Westminster was picked as the league favorites with nine first-place votes and 117 points. Coming in second place was Geneva, who secured the final first-place vote and totaled 108 points, just ahead of third-place Grove City who scored 102 points. The complete poll can be found below.
