Heid, Herman, Landis, Stehlik named CSC Academic All-District

GREENVILLE, Pa. (May 27) -- Thiel College Softball players Kylie Heid (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley), Mackenzie Herman (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds), Becca Landis (Kinsman, Ohio/Mathews) and Jensen Stehlik (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team Tuesday afternoon.

The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically.

Heid, a junior political science and public policy major, boasted a 3.69 GPA and anchored down the Tomcats' middle infield at shortstop. This is her second consecutive year earning Academic All-District status.

On the diamond, she set career highs in doubles (11), home runs (five) and triples (seven) in route to a career-best .667 slugging percentage. Her mark in triples was tied for the PAC lead and tied for ninth in Division III. She tied for the team lead in homers and RBIs (27) and led the team with 76 total bases.

Herman, a senior nursing major, logged a 3.62 GPA and saw the majority of her reps behind the dish. She was a CSC Academic All-District honoree in 2024 as well.

Herman started 35 of 36 games on the year and raked a team-high-tying five home runs and was third on the team with 20 RBIs. She also worked 41.0 innings in the circle and collected three wins.

Landis is a two-time Academic All-District honoree and was honored at the PAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Banquet. She boasted a 4.0 GPA as she majored in exercise science and psychology. She will be attending Youngstown State University in the fall as she pursues a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Landis ended her Thiel career as unarguably the best pitcher in program history as she is the program record holder for lowest career ERA (2.34) and had the fourth most strikeouts (216) in team history. Landis struck out a program-record 155 this season and K'd a career-high 14, which is the second most in a game in team history, in Thiel's win over Chatham on April 28. She led the PAC in the regular season with 138 K's.

Stehlik is now a two-time Academic All-District pick as she collected the honor in the winter as a part of the Women's Basketball team. Her GPA sits at 3.95 as she majors in exercise science.

Stehlik logged several career highs in 2025 and played a gold-glove caliber centerfield. She got on base at a .402 clip and drove in 14 runs. She led the team and was third in the PAC with 23 drawn walks.

Softball concluded the 2025 season with an 18-18 mark and finished fourth in the PAC Championship Tournament after being picked 10th in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
