SHARON, Pa. – The Thiel College Department of Athletics and the Blue-Gold held its annual Blue-Gold Golf Outing Friday Avalon at Buhl.

One hundred and twenty-eight alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Thiel College Athletics made up 32 teams at the event.

The winning team was comprised of Dylan  Lasher, Aaron Wakely, Chucky Welsh and Alex Ciepiela (-14). Tim Fox, George Sterner, John Cummings and Keith Morrison took second (-11), while the team comprised of John Loomis, Bryan Saeler, Luke Hudson and Ted Buchanan finished third (-10).

"I would like to thank everyone who made this year's Blue Gold Golf outing a success, including our sponsors, golfers, athletic department staff, and advancement staff", said Thiel College Director of Athletics Jason Fautas. "With the support of the Blue Gold Club, we were able to support many of our teams and improve our facilities this year which in returns enhances the student-athlete experience. I look forward to the continued revitalization of the Blue Gold Club."
