WARREN, Ohio – The Thiel College women's tennis team suffered a 6-3 loss against the Thomas More Saints Saturday at the Trumbull Tennis Center in Warren, Ohio.
 
Sara Matczak (Erie, Pa./Fairview) picked up a pair of wins on the day. She defeated Paige Thoerner 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles match. She also picked up a win at No. 2 doubles, along with Lauren Wolfe (Anita, Pa./Punxsutawney), defeating Anna Hetzer and Sam Zwick, 8-0.
 
Emily Carlton (Beloit, Ohio/West Branch) also won Saturday, defeating Zwick at No. 5 singles, 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (3).
 
The Tomcats (2-3) look to rebound when they return home to take on Penn State Behrend on Saturday, Sept. 20. The match is scheduled to start at noon.
