MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Thiel College men's volleyball senior Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa./Holy Name) was named to the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) All-Conference team Thursday by the conference office.
 
The CVC All-Conference award was the third of McCoy's career. A CVC Player of the Week honoree this season, McCoy was part of the CVC All-Conference team last season.
 
This season, McCoy led the team in total kills (269) and was ranked ninth in the CVC in kills per set (2.99). His 47 blocks on the season tied him for fourth on the team, and he ranked fourth on the squad with 166 digs.
 
The CVC Championship Tournament will be played today and tomorrow at Beeghly Gymnasium on the Thiel College campus. The Tomcats, the No. 3 seed in the East Division, will play Carthage College, the No. 2 seed in the West Division, at 5 p.m. today in the tournament quarterfinals. The winner of Thiel-Carthage will play Juniata, the No. 1 seed in the East Division, Saturday at 10 a.m.
 
The CVC championship game will be played Saturday at 5 p.m. The winner will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III men's volleyball playoffs.
 
Upon conclusion of the championship game Saturday, the CVC will name a tournament MVP and an All-Tournament team. The CVC Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year will also be announced Saturday.
