Crestview Hills, Ky (January 16, 2010) -- The Thiel College women's basketball team fell at the hands of the Thomas More Saints, 50-74, Saturday, bringing them to 4-9 overall and 1-5 in conference.  

The Saints sprinted out the gates in the form of a 22-2 run, and never relented as they ended the first half with an 44-18 lead.  

Despite the 'Cats putting up a noble fight in the second half, led by a 15 points, five rebound performance by Kelly Barzak (Warren, OH/Howland), the Thomas More lead proved insurmountable.

Barzak scored a game- and career-high 22 points in the contest, while gathering eight rebounds. 

The 'Cat women return to action Wednesday, Jan. 20 when the Chatham University Cougars come to Greenville, Pa. for a 7 p.m. match up.
