Terre Haute, Ind. (March 13, 2009) -- Friday the thirteenth proved to be business as usual for Thiel College speed demons, Dorran Coley (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College) and Alex Eaton (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep.), with each reaching the finals of their respective events.
Coley began the day for the Tomcats tying for second in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.53, while Eaton ended up taking first place in his preliminary heat with a time of 48.79 in the 400-meter dash.
The Thiel College will be competing in three events Saturday, starting with Coley's final chance to become an indoor national champion in the 55-meter high hurdles at 2:35 p.m. Eaton will return to action at 3:05 p.m. in the final heat of the 400, while both Coley and Eaton, along with Deighton Williams (Kingston, Jamacia/Kingston College) and Ethan Rowe (Fairmont City, Pa./Redbank Valley), will finish things up at 4:55 p.m. in the 4x400-meter relay.
