ALLIANCE, Ohio (Nov. 17, 2009) – The Thiel College wrestling team dropped a, 22-14, decision in an intersectional match at Mount Union College on Tuesday evening. 

Thiel's Rob Miller (Transfer, Pa./Reynolds) (Transfer, Pa./Reynolds) earned the Tomcats' first win of the day at 133 lbs, defeating Colin Dennis, 11-10.  Sophomore 141-pounder Corey Brown (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) kept the positive momentum going for Thiel in downing the Purple Raiders' Chad Rhoades, 22-6, via technical fall in 5:12.

Mount Union would respond by winning the next five decisions to doom the blue & gold.

Tomcat freshman Todd Miller (New Eagle, Pa./Ringold) stopped the bleeding by picking up a, 6-1, decision over Corey Hagan at 197 lbs.  At 285 lbs, Kraig Smith (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) capped the night for Thiel with a, 9-1, major decision over Derrick Hesson.

Thiel (2-2) returns to action on Sat., Dec. 5 when it visits Rochester Institute of Technology.
