D-I Eastern Kentucky too much for Thiel

RICHMOND, Ky. – Four Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball players scored in double figures as the Colonels defeated Thiel College Tuesday evening in McBrayer Arena, 91-43.  EKU – Thiel's only Division I opponent of the year – moves to 2-2 while the Tomcats fall to 1-3.
 
Freshman guard #Roddy Fuller# (Campbell, Ohio/Warren G. Harding) netted 12 points to lead the Tomcats. Sophomore #Tommy Hall (Youngstown, Ohio/Campbell)# (Youngstown, Ohio/Campbell) added seven points and a game-high nine rebounds.
 
EKU's Mike Rose led all scorers with 24 points.
 
The Colonels never trailed on the evening as they scored 11 of the first 13 points. Eastern extended its lead to 26 points at the break, 42-16, thanks to 20 points from Rose.
 
Eastern Kentucky forced Thiel College into 26 turnovers during the game which led to 42 Colonel points.
 
Thiel returns to action on Sunday when it visits Edinboro University.
